Civita di Bagnoregio was named to the World Monuments Watch List 2006.

The World Monuments Fund Symposium to create a master stabilization and sustainability plan for the "tuff towns" will occur in Civita May 14-18, 2008.  Mayor Erino Pompei of Bagnoregio will preside.  Local and international experts and support professionals will be hosted by Astra Zarina and Tony Heywood,  NIAUSI, the World Monuments Fund, and the Civitonici (residents of Civita)
