Civita on FilmFellini's La Strada has important scenes filmed in Bagnoregio, including the Saint's Day procession, and the tight rope walking above Piazza Cavour that closes with Zappano's speedy exit from the piazza on his tricycle with a very real tramontana blowing behind him. Following in Fellini's footsteps, filmmakers are slowly rediscovering Bagnoregio and Civita. Zampa's 1970 "Contestazione Generale" features Civita in many scenes in the second of the three part film. Alberto Sordi is the Parocchio of San Donato and lives in Rocchi's house! A Brazilian soap opera/telenovela, "Terra Nostra 2," was shot in Civita in 2002. "Holy Money," a film by Moviestream Filmed Entertainment, included Bagnoregio and Civita as shooting locations in 2007, stay tuned... Il Tuscia Film Fest 2007 occurred in Civita recently.
